The Joilet Jesters knocked off the Hartford Matadors, 7-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Kyle Bailey was a big reason Joilet won. The center fielder was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jim Patterson got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The Jesters move to 51-68 with the win, while the Matadors drop to 77-42.

Bob de Leon's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 1-1. The Joilet third baseman hit a 2-run single off Fernando Garcia to put the Jesters up.
