Lasers Best Matadors in Pitching Duel
|
Starting pitcher Justin Erim fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Nashville Lasers stymie the Hartford Matadors, 2-0. With the win, Nashville goes to 67-53, while the Matadors fall to 60-60.
Hunter Long, who is tied for 10th in the SC in home runs with 19, had a direct impact on the outcome. Long contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Nashville up, 1-0.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Long said.
