Joilet Defeats Hartford, 6-3

The Joilet Jesters topped the Hartford Matadors, 6-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Joilet second baseman Dylan Wechsler was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-3 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Burkhart. He tossed 97 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. Joilet is now 61-59, Hartford 60-60.
It could have been a different outcome for Joilet, had it not been for Sean Heichel, the 27-year old second baseman . Heichel contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Joilet up, 4-3.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Wechsler said. "And the same is true when you lose."
