Starting pitcher John Brown gave the Laredo Ghosts a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Little Rock Governors, 1-0, at Ghosts Ballpark. The Governors, at 46-73, have lost 5 straight games.
Craig Megna was 1-2 with a double for Laredo. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Brian Norfolk. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Laredo skipper Josh Miller.
