Ghosts Get One-Run Win at Chesapeake
Both teams had their chances, but the Laredo Ghosts eventually prevailed.

The Laredo Ghosts withstood an impressive performance by Chesapeake center fielder Mark Riley to defeat the Tailgators, 5-4, at Tailgators Ballpark. Riley was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Laredo pitcher Byron Stanton got the win. He's now 5-8. Humberto Lopez was tagged with the loss.

Marcus Walkden, who is tied for 6th in the SC in stolen bases with 13, helped out the Laredo cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

Laredo manager Josh Miller commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

The losing streak for Chesapeake has now reached 4 games.
