The Glendale Muskies handed the Portland Mad Ants a 5-2 defeat at Mad Ants Ballpark. Left Fielder Jesse Reimann starred for Glendale. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Xavier Tomlin, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Jared Hall locked down his 2nd save.

Reimann had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-0 fastball from Gordie Clifford, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Muskies a 5-2 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Reimann.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Reimann told a local reporter after the game.

Glendale is now 58-59, while Portland is 61-56.
