Fernandez Excels, But Tailgators Win
|
Montreal shortstop Billy Fernandez pounded Chesapeake Tailgators pitchers at Oilers Ballpark, but it was not enough to keep the Canadiens from falling, 8-5. Fernandez went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Tailgators now have a record of 35-82.
