Lasers Ballpark was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
In a tight affair between the Nashville Lasers and the Baxter Springs Marshals, pitcher Scott White was in the zone. The Nashville left-hander helped his team win the game, 1-0. In 7.1 innings, White surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed no runs.
In the bottom of the sixth, Hector Landa delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Nashville shortstop hit a run-scoring double, putting the Lasers in front, 1-0.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said White.
