Marshals Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win

The Baxter Springs Marshals earned a close win over the Joilet Jesters, thanks in part to Ricardo Quiroz. The Baxter Springs left-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The third-place Marshals have won 4 straight.
Baxter Springs got a knockout punch from Alan McConnell. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Quiroz said.
