Big Day for Aime in 6-2 Mad Ants Win
The Portland Mad Ants downed the Hartford Matadors, 6-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Alex Aime led the way, going 4-for-4 for Portland. John Wright earned the win to go to 8-4. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. The Mad Ants improved their record to 56-58 with the win over Hartford.

Eric Alvarado had a big run-scoring double for the Mad Ants in the top of the fourth inning. With Portland leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Fernando Garcia, who is tied for 4th in the SC in wins with 10, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mad Ants ahead, 3-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," Alvarado said after the game.
