A 4-RBI performance from the 30-year old left fielder Justin Gordon helped the Lubbock Stampede beat the Laredo Ghosts, 6-3. Stephen Stride got the win, improving to 11-6. He held the Ghosts to 2 runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The Stampede own a robust 71-41 mark.

Gordon made an early impact for Lubbock when he stroked his 9th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Stampede on top, 5-0.

"It never gets old," said Gordon. "Winning, that is."
