Laredo Ghosts starter Nelson Martinez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Nashville Lasers, 4-3. At 67-46, the Ghosts have a slim two-game lead in the Stars Conference West Division.

Had Skyler Swan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Swan hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Ghosts.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney, "let me know."
