Mad Ants Ballpark played host to some exciting baseball.

Curtis Gring pitched well, but the Quebec Aces still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Portland Mad Ants at Mad Ants Ballpark. Portland's record now stands at 52-56, placing them third in the Stars Conference West Division.

Rick Brown played the role of hero for Portland. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Greg Mars to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Portland skipper Efren Nieman.
