Harmon Leads Lasers to Win
Due in large part to catcher Chris Harmon, the Nashville Lasers sunk the Portland Mad Ants, 7-1. Harmon went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Xavier Cooper picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 5-1. The first-place Lasers, at 64-44, lead the Stars Conference East Division by 5 games.

The Lasers got a big hit from shortstop Hector Landa. Facing Portland pitcher George Robertson in the bottom of the fifth, Landa pounded a 2-run home run to center. His 14th home run of the season put the Lasers ahead, 3-0.

"We've got great fans," said Landa. "I hope they got what they came for."
