Tight Tilt Goes to Chupacabras, 2-1
|
The El Paso Chupacabras claimed a close win over the Fremont Marshalls, due in large part to Victor Figueroa. The El Paso right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. David Holloman locked down his 3rd save. The win boosted El Paso to 55-50.
Making an impact for the home team was Gustavo Orozco. In the bottom of the first, the 28-year old left fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Chupacabras.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Orozco said.
