The Laredo Ghosts topped the Montreal Royals, 5-3, at Ghosts Ballpark. Laredo designated hitter Alex Hernandez was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. The win was credited to Sam Spivey in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Mark Stuart took the loss. Ethan Yarbrough closed it out for Laredo, earning his 20th save.

Hernandez had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count changeup from Mark Stuart, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Ghosts a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Hernandez.

Hernandez attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
