Marshalls Earn Clutch Win, 8-7
Ayden Huey did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Nashville Lasers from losing the game, 8-7, to the Fremont Marshalls in 15 innings at Hedgehogs Park. Huey was 5-8 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Nate Worley claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-2. Fremont is 48-52 and Nashville, with the loss, 51-49.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 15th for Fremont. That's when 22-year old left fielder Clark Ulery hit a solo home run off Arturo Pintado to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Ulery told the Fremont Bulletin.
