Muskies Grind Out 2-1 Win
Portland pitcher John Sherline gave the Muskies all they could handle, but in the end, Glendale left Field of the Muskies with a win, 2-1. Sherline allowed 2 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings. Dave Vondrasek picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-0. John Sherline suffered the loss. Picking up the save was Zack Cunningham, his 3rd.

Glendale took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Pete Shular hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Muskies in front, 2-1.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Shular.

Glendale is in last place in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 38-63.
