Lasers Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Nashville Lasers and Portland Mad Ants.

Though he had a terrific game, Jamie Bender could not prevent his team, the Nashville Lasers, from absorbing a loss. Portland won the game, 5-3. Bender was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. Brent Stedronsky claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 3-3.

In the top of the ninth, 22-year old second baseman Jaden York delivered for Portland. That's when he belted a 2-run home run, putting the Mad Ants up, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.

York called it "a solid win."

With the victory, the Mad Ants upped their record to 60-42.
