The Nashville Lasers did just enough to nip the Portland Mad Ants, 8-7, in 15 innings. Nashville pitcher John Jones, in particular, had a standout performance. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Rodolfo Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Dane Roberts took the loss. Their 51-50 record puts the Lasers 4th in the Stars Conference East Division.

The Lasers got a clutch hit from right fielder Ayden Huey. In the bottom of the 15th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Lasers.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Huey.
