Canadiens Squelch Muskies Offense in Shutout Win
					 |

In a low-scoring affair between the Montreal Canadiens and the Glendale Muskies, pitcher Adam Obermeier was the difference between victory and defeat. The Montreal left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Canadiens win. Obermeier picked up the win for Montreal, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-8. The 5th-place Canadiens own a record of 32-70.
Jim Wilkes had a big solo home run for the Canadiens in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from Terry Droubay, who leads the SC in complete games with 2, and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Canadiens on top, 2-0.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Canadiens manager .
