Hedgehogs Park was the site for Stars Conference action featuring the Fremont Marshalls and Joilet Jesters.

Barry McLamb was masterful in helping the Joilet Jesters take down the Fremont Marshalls, 5-1. McLamb got the win, improving to 11-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Joilet used a clutch at-bat from Ken Fortin to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Jesters ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Joilet manager Hermenegildo Fernando. "It's usually not just one thing."

Joilet is now 45-53, Fremont 46-52.
