Red-Hot Matadors Win Again
|
The Hartford Matadors faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Joe Hewson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Tacoma by a final score of 3-2. Hewson went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Hartford reliever Terry May picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Yeong-ha Kym was tagged with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 9 games for the Matadors.
David Cagle went 1-2 with a walk for Hartford. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Yeong-ha Kym. It was his 10th walk of the season.
"We are some kind of hot right now," said Cagle.
