El Paso Wins, 1-0, Over Tailgators

The El Paso Chupacabras found a way to sneak past the Chesapeake Tailgators, 1-0, in 11 innings. El Paso pitcher Bill Flowers, for one, had a standout performance. El Paso reliever Eduardo Vargas picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Luis Najera took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Chupacabras.
The Chupacabras relied on left fielder Ben Callahan for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"This is a resilient bunch," said El Paso manager William Maysonet.
