Led by Jeff Duenas, the Hartford Matadors downed the Glendale Muskies, 9-1. Duenas went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Matadors. Hartford pitcher Alberto Renteria got the win, upping his record to 10-5. Bob Garbee got the loss. The loss makes Glendale 37-61.

Craig Kelley helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Matadors.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Jon Greenberg.
