5-2 Win Sends Hartford to 63-34
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old shortstop Andrew Flynn, the Hartford Matadors stopped the Glendale Muskies, 5-2. The win was credited to Dan Martin in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Terry Droubay took the loss. Hartford sits in first place in the Stars Conference West Division at 63-34.
Brad MacNeil had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Matadors. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Hartford trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
MacNeil called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
