Muskies Turn Back Matadors, 4-2
|
The Glendale Muskies and Hartford Matadors completed their game despite the rain.
Behind a fine performance from Kevin Harris, the Glendale Muskies knocked off the Hartford Matadors, 4-2. Harris went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Muskies. Arturo Ramirez picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-1 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 5 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run.
With the game tied, 1-1, in the bottom of the fifth, Harris had a key at-bat for Glendale. With a runner on 2nd, Harris hit a run-scoring single off Kory Pullar, making the score 2-1, Muskies.
"We did enough to win," said Harris.
The Muskies, now 47-51, have won 4 in a row.
