Laredo Ghosts starter Lílian Pona was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Hartford Matadors, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Pona, now 6-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Laredo.

Adam Johnson had a big 3-run home run for the Ghosts in the bottom of the third inning. With Laredo leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Justin Perry and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ghosts ahead, 5-1.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Laredo manager Josh Miller.
