Laredo right fielder Jake Way had a good game, even if his team did not. The Ghosts dropped a 7-3 decision to Hartford at Ballpark of Tacoma. Way was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Matadors now have a mark of 50-45.

In the bottom of the sixth, Hartford second baseman Sean Heichel gave his team the lead. With no one out and the bases loaded, Toto hit his 7th triple of the year. Laredo pitcher Rick Winkler surrendered it. With that, the Matadors jumped in front, 3-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Heichel, "one at-bat at a time."
