Aces 4-1 Victors Over Joilet

Dave Barncord, who is tied for 4th in the SC with a 2.65 ERA, had a strong outing for the Quebec Aces against the Joilet Jesters at Belmont Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. The Aces saw their win-loss record go to 51-45. At the same time, the Jesters fell to 52-44.
The Aces ran into trouble in the top of the fifth. The score was 1-0, Quebec, with no one out. Joilet, with a runner on 1st, had Alain Arnaud at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he hit into a double play and the Aces went on to win.
