Lasers Rally to Nose Past Joilet
The Nashville Lasers did just enough to secure a victory over the Joilet Jesters, 5-4, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Joilet. Nobody did more than pitcher Sean Hill. Danny Heasley came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Malcolm Freeman finished the game for Nashville and earned his 17th save.

Nashville won the game in part because of Steve Fites. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lasers ahead, 5-4. For the game, Fites had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Hill.

With the win, Nashville raised its record to 48-48.
