Tailgators Win Thriller, 7-5
The Chesapeake Tailgators topped the Little Rock Governors, 7-5, with youngster Jon Mena playing a key role. Mena went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Tailgators in the win. The Tailgators are now 37-58.

Chesapeake got a knockout punch from Mark Riley. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

In comments to the Chesapeake Daily, Riley admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
