Starting pitcher Marco Sanchez had a solid game. He was a big reason the Baxter Springs Marshals throttled the Nashville Lasers, 4-2. Earning the save was Kevin Miller. He's now cashed in 14 of 16 save opportunities. Baxter Springs is now 55-36, Nashville 46-45.

Baxter Springs took a 3-2 lead on Chance Jones's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jones hit in the top of the seventh, left Nashville pitcher Chris Rumrill visibly frustrated.

Baxter Springs manager Justin Watts was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
