It seemed that Laredo right fielder Joe Chennault could do no wrong as the Ghosts KO'd the Marshalls, 8-7. Chennault rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Marshalls hurlers were throwing.

"I think the Ghosts were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Fremont fan after the game.

"I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Chennault in the postgame press interview.

Joe Chennault hit a solo-shot off Brian Gay in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This season, Chennault has delivered 91 hits in 314 at-bats for a .290 average with 24 home runs. He is getting on base at a .393 clip and his totals also include 69 RBIs and 63 runs scored. This year Chennault has played in 85 games.
