The Portland Mad Ants topped the Chesapeake Tailgators, 12-2, with catcher Matt Peters playing a big role. Peters was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Mad Ants in the win. The second-place Mad Ants have won 7 straight.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Peters hit a 2-run single off Jimmy Miano. It propelled the Mad Ants into the lead, 3-1.
