Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Glendale Muskies and Baxter Springs Marshals.
Behind an impressive start by Joe Bringman, Glendale beat Baxter Springs, 3-1. Dylan Diggs closed out the game, earning his 4th save.
Donovan Widmer came through with a big-time hit for Glendale. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Widmer called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
Baxter Springs now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
