Turtles Ballpark did not lack for drama.

Laredo got a big-time effort from pitcher Jonathan Johnson, but it wasn't enough to keep the Montreal Royals from winning the game, 2-1. Johnson threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Montreal reliever Evan Sippel snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nick Thompson shouldered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Firmino Fischetti in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Nick Thompson to win the game for Montreal. The home crowd went nuts.

Fischetti attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."

The win boosted Montreal to 62-30.
