The Portland Mad Ants got a stellar performance from pitcher George Robertson, who handcuffed the Chesapeake offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Tailgators Ballpark. Portland has won 5 straight games.
It could have been a different outcome for Portland, had it not been for Danny Bryson, the 25-year old right fielder . Bryson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Portland up, 3-2.
Said Portland manager Will Berman: "They come in every day and work hard. It's nice to see that work pay off."
