Matadors Drop 9-5 Decision
Sean Dowling left his imprint on the 9-5 El Paso win against the Hartford Matadors. Dowling, who is tied for 10th in the SC in triples with 3, was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Chupacabras raised their record to 47-44.

With El Paso trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Dowling hit a fastball from Manuel Angloma for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Chupacabras ahead, 2-1.

"We're producers not directors," said Dowling. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
