The Joilet Jesters and Nashville Lasers riveted fans at Lasers Ballpark.
The Nashville Lasers called upon starter John Jones, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Joilet Jesters, 3-0. The Stars Conference East Division-leading Lasers have a record of 56-37.
Jones was in the zone, shutting down Joilet hitters over 7 innings. Jones, who threw 99 pitches, allowed no runs on 3 hits. He also tallied 7 punchouts.
"John had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney.
