Matadors Win 3-1 Nail-Biter Versus Marshalls
|
The Hartford Matadors had to overcome a good performance from Fremont pitcher Matt Brown to claim a 3-1 win at Ballpark of Tacoma. Brown went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. The win went to Vinny Padilla in relief, making him now 7-0. Ted Tygart took the loss for Fremont. The Matadors now own a record of 59-29.
Hartford got a knockout punch from Andrew Flynn. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
In postgame comments, Flynn said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
