Joilet and Hartford duked it out and the Jesters came out victorious.

The Joilet Jesters topped the Hartford Matadors, 8-5, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Joilet right fielder Kyle Bailey was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The first-place Jesters now have a record of 48-42.

Joilet grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Bailey hit a run-scoring double off Alberto Renteria. His 17th double of the season put the Jesters out in front, 1-0.

"I had some good swings out there," said Bailey.
