Villapando Shines in 8-5 Glendale Win
A 5-RBI performance from first baseman Javy Villapando, who is tied for 9th in the SC in extra base hits with 27, led the Glendale Muskies to a win over the Nashville Lasers, 8-5. Glendale reliever Micah Brown picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Eugene Ricci was tagged with the loss. The 'W' lifts Glendale's record to 33-54.

Glendale used the timely hitting of Tim Kidd to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Muskies on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was our day today," Kidd told the Glendale Gazette. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
