Bauer, Tailgators March to 8-4 Victory
A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Jimmy Bauer, who is tied for 2nd in the SC in home runs with 21, led the Chesapeake Tailgators to a win over the Lubbock Stampede, 8-4. With the win, the Tailgators improved to 40-45.

Early in the game, left fielder Ben Blake had a 2-run home run for Chesapeake. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Tailgators on top, 2-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Blake told the Chesapeake Daily.
