Royals Drop Ghosts, 2-1

The Montreal Royals topped the Laredo Ghosts, 2-1, in Stars Conference action at Turtles Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Montreal pitcher Stephen Stride. Jim Murphy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 8 save opportunities. The Royals lead the Stars Conference East Division by 4 games.
Jeremy Moore, who is tied for 7th in the SC in runs scored with 49, helped out the Montreal cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Moore said after the game.
