Chesapeake Beats Glendale, 6-3
|
The Chesapeake Tailgators beat the Glendale Muskies, 6-3, at Tailgators Ballpark. Brad Raska, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft, starred for Chesapeake. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chesapeake starter Jim Wallace was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. Bobby Dwyer wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Eddie Montejo, the Chesapeake catcher, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 6-3, Tailgators. For the game, Montejo was 1 for 2 with a hit by pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Montejo. "And not try to do too much."
The Tailgators go to 30-56 with the win.
