Montreal turned a good effort from starter Alec Wright into a win over the Laredo Ghosts at Turtles Ballpark. The Royals won the game, 2-0. Wright, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. T.J. Harrison collected save number 4.
Laredo had a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh. With no one out, Corey Pryor stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 2-0, Montreal. The Ghosts never could mount a comeback.
The win puts Montreal at 34-52.
