The Laredo Ghosts snuck past the Chesapeake Tailgators, 5-4, in 10 innings. Laredo pitcher Felipe Moreno, in particular, had a standout performance. Laredo bumps their record to 35-48 with the win.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Laredo. That's when Fred Pachner hit a solo home run off fireballing right-hander Bobby Dwyer to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Moreno. "Successful pitchers do it."
