Widmer goes 4-for-5 to Ignite Muskies Offense
Donovan Widmer, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in doubles with 19, led Glendale to a triumph over Portland. The final score was 11-5. The center fielder went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 4 RBI. Jeff Lewis got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Glendale is 5th in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 37-47.

Bryan Erck was a prime contributor to the Glendale win. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth with one out, the 26-year old first baseman hit a 2-run single. It made the score 7-4, in favor of the Muskies.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Glendale manager Jon Greenberg.
