Matadors Roll to 8-1 Win Over Canadiens
|
The Hartford Matadors went home winners at Ballpark of Tacoma, thanks in large part to starter Vinny Padilla. Padilla stifled the Montreal Canadiens, enabling Hartford to grab the 8-1 win. Hartford bumps their record to 44-40 with the win.
The Matadors ran into trouble in the top of the third. The score was 1-0, Hartford, with one out. Montreal, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Justin Kelley at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he flied out and the Matadors went on to win.
