The exploits of second baseman Corey Routh, who is tied for 10th in the SC in runs scored with 43, helped the Montreal Canadiens defeat the Glendale Muskies, 10-1. Routh was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win puts Montreal at 32-49.

With Montreal leading 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Routh came up to bat against Glendale pitcher Jeff Lewis. Routh hit a fastball to center for a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Canadiens on top, 8-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Glendale manager Jon Greenberg. "They smoked us."
