Fremont turned a good effort from starter Tarjei Wiese into a win over the Hartford Matadors at Ballpark of Tacoma. The final score was 3-2. Their 49-30 record puts the Marshalls first in the Stars Conference West Division.

Fremont used the hitting of Joe Tibbs to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Marshalls on top, 3-1. For the game, Tibbs had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Wiese.
